Our Story
The AiQUOS technology emerged from a visionary collaboration between the Institute of Neuroinformatics (INI, UZH) and the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC). Under the initiative of Dr. Margarit, our team synergized expertise in AI, neuromorphic engineering, biochemical analysis, and advanced microsensor technologies to develop innovative intelligent lab-on-a-chip solutions for a comprehensive control of aqueous media at the edge.
Supported by the European Commission, the Swiss National Science Foundation, and the Generalitat de Catalunya – and achieved as a multiyear, collaborative research effort with Prof. Liu, Dr. Jiménez, and Dr. Serra – our work has been distinguished as high-potential innovation by EU experts and has resulted in three international patent applications solidifying our position at the forefront of monitoring technology for aqueous solutions.
